Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, once again failed to score significantly in the ACC T20 Asia Cup after he was ejected in the third over.
Pakistan
was put in to bat first after Hong Kong won the toss. Mohammad Rizwan and Azam,
the opening pair of the T20 World Cup 2021, raised expectations among cricket
fans by setting numerous records. Babar, who leads the ODI and T20I batter rankings, hasn't
been able to get the squad off to a strong start since the Asia Cup began.
Ehsan
Khan of Hong Kong's team took one of the most crucial wickets by sending Babar
back to the sidelines. Only nine runs in eight balls were scored by Babar with
the help of a one-four.
Babar
only scored 15 runs in the most recent encounter against India, the team's
fiercest opponent. The question is whether the elite batter would follow Indian
legend Virat Kohli in experiencing a performance decline.
The
past several months have seen Kohli struggle with his form, and his supporters
have been impatiently awaiting his century.
Fans
are worried about Babar's form following his poor showing in Pakistan's two
Asia Cup matches. Pakistan will play England right after the current cricket
competition ends.
At
the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Pakistan must win today's game in order to advance
in the Asia Cup.
If
Pakistan wants to advance to the Super 4s round of the tournament, they must
win this match.
The
group stage of the competition will end with this match. For the Super 4s,
India, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka have already qualified.
