Pakistan will boycott the ODI World Cup if India does not visit Pakistan for the Asia Cup

PCB chairman Ramiz Raja has taken a firm stand to boycott the ICC FIFA World Cup 2023 if India refuses to visit Pakistan for the upcoming Asia Cup.

Political uncertainty between India and Pakistan has long prevented the two nations from meeting on the cricket field. While the arch-rivals only come face-to-face at ICC events, the rift between the two boards has escalated to the extent that fans could even miss World Cup clashes between Pakistan and India.

In response to India's continued refusal to travel to Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup, Ramiz Raja confirmed that Pakistan will not play the World Cup in India if they decide not to participate in the Asia Cup.

“Does he think [India] can play the World Cup without Pakistan? Who is going to watch this?” claimed an enraged Ramiz Raja.

It is pertinent to mention that the Asia Cup 2018 was originally scheduled to be held in India but the venue was shifted to the UAE after the Indian government refused to grant visas to the Pakistani players.
