The final decision on the 1st Pakistan-England Test will be made early tomorrow morning

The Pakistan Cricket Board and the England and Wales Cricket Board today discussed the outbreak of a viral infection in the camp of the England men's Test team and unanimously agreed to postpone a decision on the start of the first Test, which is due to start on Thursday, until 7:30am tomorrow.

Both boards made the decision based on medical advice from England doctors, which revolved around the health and well-being of the players, and agreed that the England cricket team was able to select an eleven for the first of three ICC World Test Championship matches. will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Both committees also agreed, with the caveat that the England players would not be sufficiently recovered to take the field on Thursday morning, then the Test would start on Friday and be a five-day match.
