Blur (Video Game)

Blur (stylized as blur) is an arcade racing video game published in May 2010 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. It was created by Bizarre Creations and released in North America and Europe by Activision. The game's racing approach combines real-world automobiles and locations with arcade-style handling and vehicular combat. Blur was Bizarre Creations' final game before Activision shut them down on February 18, 2011.

"Blur" is an arcade racing game in which players compete in races set in realistic recreations of real-world places such as the Los Angeles River, the Barcelona Circuit, and the Brighton Beach Front. There are several genuine vehicle types to choose from, each with its own acceleration, speed, and durability characteristics. The races itself take the shape of time trials, demolition derbies, and more typical races in which players may gather and deploy different "Power ups" such as offensive weaponry, protective shields, and speed enhancements. Each race also has a fan segment where the racer may win more fans by completing an additional challenge, such as a long drift around a curve or a long range missile strike, the success of which may subtract from your total race performance.
